Fuzzy slippers, your own bed, there’s nothing like being home. Family near, even they feel more comfortable visiting when you’re at home. We're Certified
We are Certified by Medicare, Medicaid & Blue Cross. Of course, we accept many other insurance plans also. Medicare certification is earned only after we proved to government inspectors that we met their regulations AND passed an on-site inspection (with flying colors!). Only after we passed the rigors of Medicare’s criteria, were we eligible to apply for Blue Cross/Blue Shield certification. They have additional standards and rules.

Community Health Accreditation Program (CHAP) accredits Alpha Omega

Health, LLC. These are extra, external quality standards to assure
our patients get the best care possible. Once again, we must prove we
meet
these standards, and pass a 5-day on-site inspection that included
Patient

We're Neighbors
We live and work in
the thumb. Many of us are life long, or long time residents of
the Thumb. We’re
your neighbors, and we will treat you right. We’ve seen the news
articles of local groups
helping put roofs on houses, people who’ve been burned
out of their homes being overwhelmed by
donations, the plot of land over by Laker’s High School
designated to feed the poor. That’s
what neighbors do. At Alpha Omega Home Health, we provide free in-home
evaluation visits, in the hospital before discharge (also free), and if
you
don’t have insurance, or if you have co-pays or deductibles, we will
provide
free or reduced cost services to those with hardships.
Joanne Sopko, RN, the owner of Alpha Omega Home Health, has lived in Caseville Township for 20 years. Joanne often ‘takes call’, that means when you call with problems, or concerns, she’s often the voice on the other end of the phone. And, if she’s not, and you need to speak to her, most of the time (except for vacations) staff can reach her and have her call you back – day or night.
And
speaking of the voice at the other end of the phone – when you call
after
hours, you do have to let the phone ring about 6 or 7 times, but it’s a
real
person that answers the phone. And it’s not an answering
service – it’s the
actual RN that’s on-call. We understand that if you’re calling after
hours, you
need help. We want to give it to you without a hassle, so we make it
easy for
you.

We Check Credentials - Thoroughly
We
verify the licenses, backgrounds, references and education of
our staff. We have all heard those news stories of people masquerading
as
doctors when they really weren’t. That’s scary. We won’t have that – in
fact,
this is one of those CHAP Accreditation standards we mentioned. We are
required
to do extra checks on these facts (and are glad to do so). That means
we
actually check with the State of Michigan to verify that our
professional staff
have current licenses, we get a copy of the actual degree to be sure
that it
was completed, we do a very thorough criminal background check on every
employee to be sure they do not have a prior history. When our
employees come
through your door, you can be sure they are someone you can trust.

Joanne
Sopko, RN, owns Alpha
Omega Home Health. She has over 25 years of home health experience.
Nursing
ownership makes the Patient the ‘bottom line’! We
do not decide what
kind of care to give our Patient based on a profit margin. We make that
decision based on what is best for the Patient. Joanne has managed home
health
agencies profitably in this manner for several decades, and knows that
what is
